With a transfer, your IRA funds flow directly from the old trustee (the company holding your IRA) to JetTrade with no receipt of funds by the IRA account holder (that's you). You pay no taxes on a direct transfer and the transfer isn't reported to the IRS, so there are no tax reporting consequences to you when you file your income taxes.
